At K9Pawfections we appreciate that your dog is of
great importance to you. That is why customers are always
welcome to be shown around, so you can see for
yourselves that your dog is going to be well cared for.
Customers are greeted at the salon by both me
and Poppy, my much-loved Cocker Spaniel, who
always likes to welcome new dogs to the salon.
We
have a large kennel area, ranging from
purpose-built kennels to large and medium
crates, which allows me to cater for each
dog’s individual requirements.
As I generally allow 2-3 hours to groom
each dog, I don’t offer a “drop off and wait”
service. I find that the dogs are more
responsive to me during grooming if they are
not able to sense you are there waiting on the premises.
My aim is for your dog to enjoy being groomed as much as you will enjoy the end result. It should be a stress-free and pleasurable experience so your four-legged friend returns home happy, looking their best and smelling wonderful.
We always advise that puppies are introduced to the grooming environment at an early age, even if only for a bath and nail clip. This reassures them and give them confidence for when they need a full groom.
Some salons draw a line at grooming dogs with nervous or difficult temperaments. But at K9Pawfections, we believe that with patience and a calming atmosphere we can groom even the most highly strung of them. It’s a delight to see them leave with tails wagging!
Having said that, it is essential that we are informed, prior to booking, if a dog has a tendency to be badly behaved or aggressive. Their behaviour can upset other dogs and more time could have to be allocated to the grooming, which may also result in an extra charge of £10.00. Also I and my staff do value our hands so we like to be told of any potential problems in advance!
At the salon you will also find a small shop where you can purchase treats or toys for your dog or pick up their regular wormer or flea treatment. I also have a nice selection of pet tags purchase.
All our dogs are bathed and conditioned using natural and organic products. We have a special range for pets with sensitive skin or we can use your own medicated products if your dog requires them. Whatever your dog’s needs, we can cater for them. Just let us know.
Many of our customers tell us how lovely their dogs look and smell for weeks after their grooming sessions. That makes me happy because it means my customers appreciate the care that has gone into choosing the grooming products we use.
Although I am always busy during the day, you are welcome to phone for advice or call in with your four-legged friend and I will be happy to help.
I do offer a collection and delivery service, for which there is a charge, but you do need to book this in advance. I also run a loyalty scheme, as your continued custom is greatly appreciated.
